I would have love this a lot more if I read this back in 2014
I finally read it. I wasn't in the mood for it when it first came out but I am glad I finished the series before the end of the year is over.
It was a satisfying conclusion to this series, I love the world so much. It's the best part in my opinion, the world and all of the paranormal creatures and how they became to be. And we get to see Jem and Tessa again which is awesome but I wish they would've told Jace his heritage. During those moments, I was just dying for Jace to know where he came from and be proud that he's a Herondale because I want Will Herondale to be remember in their family.
Some of the deaths, I was mentally prepared for but still sad to see them go. Although I wish the werewolves have a bigger part of the story, they were just the in the sidelines.
Simon and Issabelle❤️they are my favorite couple in this series. I was not fond of the other couples.
This is also a good set up for her Cassandra Claire new trilogy coming up. I can't wait but I probably won't read it until it completes waiting for them kills me.

I like this book probably the most in the series. Also, tell me why anytime there’s a mention of Tessa, Jem, Will or their kids I burst into tears.
THIS BOOK WAS PERFECTION, I JUST CAN'T ADYDGSGSGD
First read: 3rd-6th June 2014
I've flooded my house because of all the tears I cried thanks to the last two chapters. The ending was the most perfect thing I could have imagined for this series. Thank you Cassandra Clare for not sinking my favourite ships.
Re-read: 3rd July 2016
Now I realise how repetitive Lady Midnight is from the stuff we already know from this book! Mark is still a bae though.
