Okay, I thought I loved the first one (and I did) but I loved this one even more?? I knew from Smash & Grab that I was going to adore Baha… I just love a grumpy bastard with a secret soft side. What I was not anticipating was how much I would love Jackson, or how perfect he would be for Baha. I did not imagine a flirtatious, roguish cowboy for him but damn if it didn’t end up being the perfect pairing!

The dynamic between Baha & Jackson is one of my absolute favorite MM dynamics — two very dominant personalities, “alphas” if you will, that have no desire to make the other submit; both enjoy the push and pull, both love to push each others buttons but they respect each other and desire them as an equal — the chemistry between them is volatile (and so freakin hot) but not in a toxic masculinity way. I also love the way the author portrayed their intimacy, it followed that same theme of certain bedroom acts don’t mean the person is submissive, and she really leaned into vulnerability and trust being important — even if Baha was in major denial for a good majority of the book, and then second guessing himself up until almost the very end. It was just so well done.

While this one didn’t have the same level of nerdy gushing or himbo energy, it was still absolutely hilarious and the narrator for the audiobook outdid himself. I was grinning like a fool if I wasn’t laughing out loud. I won’t lie, I really expected these books to be silly Dino shifter books — enjoyable but not anything special — and I was so wrong. They ARE silly but they’re so much more. I’ve already got the next one cued up because I need more of this world in my life stat!

Oh man, I think this one was even more fun than the previous book. I always love "grumpy and emotionally unavailable meets charming but slightly an asshole." I loved Baha and Jackson's dynamic immediately. Also, it was fun to see what RELIC missions look like when someone actually knows what they're doing, haha. Lots of ridiculous, over-the-top fun. A quick and enjoyable read.

Give me a cowboy and I’m one happy lady. A cowboy who’s also a dino shifter? LOVE IT.

Baha is so grumpy in the best way. And I adore a grump who’s boo loves him grumpy. Jackson was obssesed with how grumpy Baha was and got a thrill out of riling him up. I love the contained cruise ship setting. I adored the fake fiance parts. I absolutely squealed at Baha’s dino gifting Jackson a dead shark.

Colin was a top tier side character.

Same as the first book, I wouldn’t say the plot is without holes and conveniences but I loved it so much that I did not care one bit.

Well, you know what they say… fake husbands who are forced onto a boat in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean really do stay together 🙂‍↕️.
No, but seriously—every time Baha and Jackson hurled insults at each other, I was just there giggling and kicking my feet because the tension was TENSIONING. Baha was 100% the embodiment of grumpy—but deep down, he was such a softy—and every single time Jackson did something to rile him up just because he liked him grumpy… yeah, that did something to me. Jackson had that cocky, effortless charm, but really that made him perfect because he was the only one who could match Baha’s stubbornness and push all his buttons in JUST the right way that had Baha being so protective over him.
I truthfully think my standards have been raise by a million percent.

This was such a fun read. After reading/listening to Smash & Grab (book 1 in the series), I knew I needed more. Baha was introduced there and he was a pleasure. He was his usual grumpy self in this one, and I was here for it. He did not make it easy on Jackson at all. Jackson totally took it in stride though and was Baha's counterpart in every aspect. I absolutely loved Jackson's character. He may be my favorite now out of them all, well Dalton is still hilarious, but there is just something so endearing about Jackson. He was just so real with Baha and was outgoing and would not take crap from anyone. I loved that about him. He was also very savvy and cunning which I really liked. I just thought he fit, so how it ended was perfect, and Baha finally coming around was perfect as well. Definitely recommend this book to anyone looking for a bit of romance with a lot of UST and humor for days. Also, dinosaurs!!!

ARC provided and this is my honest review.

I feel like I judged book 1 too harshly, this series is so simple and fun and sweet so far? And I liked Dalton from book one in this book, and for sure going to keep reading these haha.

For whatever reason didn't like this as much as the first one in the series, but will probably read more in the series eventually
