I decided to give this book a go on a chance, It seemed like a good story, as I love second chance romance.
I like supernatural vibes but wasn't too sure about the cover, it's a bit too cute for those vibes and I was right.
I can't say I have read many books involving time travel and parallel universes. I don't think I'm a huge fan after reading This Spells Love.
The pacing seemed a bit off at times. Gemma's feelings change quite suddenly with her going from being friends with Dax to being obsessed with him.
I wasn't really a huge fan of the characters, Gemma was flighty, self-absorbed and annoying most of the time.
But I liked the lessons she learned in this story and I liked the way the story ended. I would have liked a little more of the end, though, to see her content with the way things worked out. And I would have liked a little more character development for Gemma, and Dax after they got together.

I liked this book and how there were barely any witch vibes, but there was ok romance. Once the character falls in love, it seems that the only thing she could think of is just constantly hooking up with him. After that, I lost interest a little bit, but it was still a good book. If you are interested in that go-ahead, it was a pretty good book.
