I cried so much in this book

Got to and through the actual war and Tamlin even got a slight redemption arc. Truly only didn't cry towards the end because I was reading at work and that would be too embarrasing. Cannot overstate how much I am LOVING these books and will be so sad when they end. Also having Amren 'betray' them and Rhysand 'die' literally almost killed me at the end there. At one point literally said out loud "what are you doing?!?" and had to reel it back in.

i just can’t stop

Wow, what an end to the original trilogy.

That was beyond anything I imagined it would be. And I'm so glad it was. I expected this to be good, but not great, and I was pleased at how great it actually was.

I see a lot of reviews saying that people were disappointed with the spice level of this book, and maybe it's cuz i don't really care too much about spicyness, so the lack of it didn't disappoint me at all. I felt that Rhys and Feyre's relationship has molded into something more than the spice and the tension; something healthy. Some people would call that boring lol, but since it's the last book in the original trilogy, I found it to be forgivable. Plus, I think a healthy relationship, after what those two have endured, is exactly what they need from each other.

I don't know if it was because I was literally wearing my heart on my sleeve for this book after wanting to feel some sort of emotional connection to the characters in the past 2 books in the series, but DAMN i didn't expect that connection to be with the Suriel lmaooo. I shed some tears there. And the part where their father returned with a fleet of ships.

The ending was starting to become a messy blob, but Ms Maas pulled away from the mess just a tiny bit to save this book from losing a star for me. If she fed in a bit more to the tendencies she showed in the last 2 books, where it kinda gets muddy and rushed at the end, then I probably wouldn't have liked this ending as much.

Some issues I have with this is that the first half was waaay too long and for what? lol. literally could've sorted that whole ordeal at Spring Court in 2 chapters haha. Also what happened to Alis?

So many questions unanswered, though. But I know that there's more to the world, especially with Cassian and Nesta, with our lovely friends at the Night Court, and my desired pairing (despite the complications of the mating bond), Az and Elain. I feel your frustrations there, Feyre, I really do. Like my girl said, who gets to decide these stupid mating pairs anyway? Those two are made for each other and we all know it!!!!

I'm definitely gonna need a break before reading ACOFAS, and then before reading ACOSF. This series though, has saved me from a very long reading slump.

Not my favorite, but still enjoyed. Too often it felt like things would resolve a little too easily, so even when the stakes felt high they also really didn't? The twists were so out of left field that they fell flat / didn't feel earned
