I think I say this every time I read a new CC book but...THIS ONE IS MY FAVORITE!
I'll give you a few reasons why:
-Starting with the dedication: "For all of those who feel like they aren't deserving of love. Spoiler alert, you are." - YES, YES YOU ARE! Listen to the queen herself, you ARE deserving of love!
-Cope has become the most loveable hockey player EVER. He was so protective of Sutton and Luca. I loved seeing his relationship grow with the both of them.
-THE PLOT TWIST. I should've seen it coming. I s h o u l d ' v e seen it coming, but I didn't.
-THE TROPES: small-town suspense, single mom, forced proximity, baker FMC, hockey player MMC, cute nicknames, found family
Oh? That wasn't enough? Here are a few of my favorite quotes!
-"Love you more than bees love honey." (Every time I see a bee, I will think of Sutton and her boys. )
-"Because Sutton would always be worth it. No matter the risk."
-"Come on, Warrior. Fight. For me. For us."

4.5⭐️ Who knew that all I needed in my life was a Catherine Cowles sports romance with a single mum?? I devoured this book in one single sitting and cried happy tears and sad ones too. This is by far my favourite book in the series so far.
Cope is such a sad boy who deserves all the hugs, and Sutton is the strongest woman who deserves all the support. A match made in heaven

This was so cute. I think I’m becoming a huge fan of the single parent trope. This was heart warming and thrilling. I loved the twist at the end too. I’m such a sucker for suspense romance.

5/5. 100% Recommend. Devoured in 2 days and never wanted to put it down. I know I loved a book with my whole heart when I experience everything they go through as if I'm one of them. That tells me it was amazing. And that's what every Catherine Cowles book does to me. The sadness, the joy, the fear, and heartbreak, the anger, the madness, the laughter, the inappropriate grama we all wish he had if we didn't! I connected with the emotions both Cope and Sutten felt at every turn, not because I've been in their situations, but becuz I've felt those feelings a lot during my years. Cope's love language is Acts Of Service, and I love that for him.
I'm already excited and biting my nails for her next one, Broken Exile. From the sneak peek, I'm so pumped to read it!
