I have yet to read a Catherine Cowles book I didn’t love, and Broken Harbor is no exception. I think it’s safe to say I’m officially a hockey romance girlie now!
This story is packed with heartfelt moments and quotes that stay with you, like:
"I love you more than bees love honey."
"I love you. With everything in me. All I am is yours. Brokenness and all."
Catherine Cowles has an incredible talent for immersing you in her stories. She makes you feel like you’re right there, experiencing everything alongside the characters.
Cope and Sutton are easily one of my favorite couples yet. And of course, I can’t forget about Luca! The way Cope embraces Luca as his own is so beautifully written—it’s tender, genuine, and deeply moving. He protects and loves them both like they’ve always been a part of him, and it melts your heart.
I’ve always had a soft spot for single-mom stories, and this one is a shining example of why. It captures the sacrifices single moms make to give their children everything they need, often hiding their own struggles. Catherine does an amazing job portraying those challenges while also reminding us that single moms deserve love, joy, and the space to be a little selfish, too.
This book is everything I hoped for and more—authentic, emotional, and unforgettable. Another winner from Catherine Cowles!

I loved every moment of this book. From his nickname for her to Luca and the way the author made me feel every emotion was just on point. This is my second book by this author, and it did not disappoint, honestly. If you're looking for an amazing single-mum romance with hockey and found family in it, then this is it because this book had me up till 2, and I had to get up by 5!! That was how captivating the story was. I mean, he was so obsessed with making her his and making her comfortable like his "lean on me " despite his won demons to; he just wants to make her life comfortable.

Once again Cowles has blown me away with her Sparrow Falls series. Sutton, Cope and Luca made the best family and I loved watching them all come together. Lolli is the highlight of this series and every time she's in a scene I can't stop laughing. All of these books cover some dark topics but for some reason this story just felt a little heavier to me. I was truly blown away by the ending and the person who was actually behind everything going on.
