I love hockey romance and I love Catherine Cowles books but I never knew I needed those together but I am sooo glad we got it!
This story brings all the suspense mixed with a hysterical family who have zero filters and no sense of boundaries. The family moments and memories we get were phenomenal, this series gives hallmark movies with a ton of spice. The relationship between Sutton and Cope is so sweet and I love that it starts as with a friends foundation before they start developing feelings for each other. And add in her son and he obsession with his favorite hockey player was absolutely everything.
Sutton and her son help Cope move past his pain and trauma from his past; she doesnt allow him to fall back into the trauma.

I should’ve just dnfed this. After the plot twist at the 1/3 mark I just wasn’t invested in the story. I didn’t think that was necessary and it took me out of the story. I really didn’t like Cope as a main character. I felt like he had a lot of growing and maturing to do and I didn’t see him doing enough of that. I also felt like he was really up and down in terms of his control of his emotions which is one of the biggest red flags for me. I liked Sutton but her backstory felt very copy paste from the other two books in the series. Overall every book feels like I’m on a rollercoaster and I still can’t decide if I like it or not but I’m just gonna stick it out for the next 3 books.

My opinion: I loved this book. It was a lot better done than Shep and Thea’s book, in my opinion. You still have those thriller, who is actually after them, elements but it didn’t feel like a copy and paste of the first two books which was refreshing. I loved how Cope took to Luca and pretty much immediately wanted to be a dad and reassured both him and Sutton that he and his family would always be there for him no matter what. I also loved that Sutton listened to both Cope and her heart and didn’t fight things unnecessarily. While a lot of the conflict with outside characters was predictable, I did like the small twist at the end.

If you aren’t reading single parent romances, then what are you even doing? Sutton and Cope were everything but little Luca had my heart. ♥️ and yes he’d hate being called little but it’s fine. I’d be his bestie anyway.

Sparrow Falls is just the gift that keeps on giving. I don’t think I’ll ever be able to shut up about this series and there’s still so much more to come.

Single mom romances aren’t something I read a lot and why you ask? Not a clue. Luca might have been my favorite character in the whole story next to Lolli

OMG!!!

Cope and Sutton were amazing! I loved how even though the chemistry was there, they both also realized that the other was someone they could lean on even before they pushed for a relationship.

Cope was absolutely amazing. I wanted to hug him when he admitted he felt guilty for things, because he was the reason people were where they were. It was so sad that he'd thought that for so long, but I'm glad Sutton was able to make him understand that it wasn't. And then when he told his mom about it and just...I love him. And the way he took to Luca even before he admitted he was wanting something with Sutton. Like, he admitted he was attracted but he held back at first but still helped Luca and it was great. Then when things started changing, he realized his feelings and I loved the way he went out of his way to help Sutton out. The bakery was amazing and NGL, I loved him going after Rick. The reveal on the mastermind was sad, although I'll admit I kind of thought said person
Marcus
was responsible for all the tabloid issues Cope had been having, maybe not everything, but I definitely pegged him as the leak because he seemed like just the type of jealous twat-waffle to do that.

Sutton was also amazing. I liked that she wanted to provide for Luca and that Cope was finally able to get her to understand that you can stand on your own two feet but still let someone help once in a while. I laughed at the way she mangled her sports references. It took a minute, but I liked that she finally accepted Cope's whole "we're giving this a shot and not doing it in half measures", but that she realized why she hadn't done that yet. I loved how she realized what Cope needed even before she admitted that she needed him, the way she was there for him at Teddy's funeral and how she pulled him out of his various funks.

I loved the catching up that we got for various people. I'd love to see more about Rhodes and Anson, but I loved Anson's gruffness that seems to be...not quite fading but he sure ain't hiding anymore! And I want Fallon and Kye's book so bad! Those two better get together, because if they don't, I may have to riot! And then we have Linc and Arden's book next! Can't wait to read Beautiful Exile !! I have to know what happened with that first meeting that made Arden almost kill him! Basically, I love this family/series and can't wait to read more!
