10/10 recommend. Cope and Sutton. This is a single mom, athlete MMC, found family romance. Sutton has been dealt a tough hand and is looking to rebuild her life for her and her son. Cope is star hockey player battling demons. He falls first without and third act breakups. Cowles writes trauma and healing beautifully. Plus, Luca is super adorable. And nothing is sweeter than watching a child fall in love with a parent. And of course there’s always a bit of mystery mixed into a Catherine Cowles story. Loved this read!

Broken Harbor demolished my heart and stitched it back together. Copeland Colson and Sutton Holland are two of my favorite Catherine Cowles characters. Cope is a pro hockey player with a tragic past. Sutton is an entrepreneurial single mom who escaped a toxic relationship and started over in Sparrow Falls. In previous books, Sutton had been the mysterious newcomer, so I couldn’t wait for Catherine to unravel her backstory. Cope has been the supportive-from-a-distance Colson sibling who buried himself in hockey to drown out the darkness from his childhood. Now he’s become the bad boy of the NHL and his career is on the line. Cope & Sutton were the perfect balance of snark and sweet; she’s fiercely independent & finds it hard to trust men and he’s the crunchy cinnamon roll determined to melt the icy barriers around her heart. I loved Luca’s drive and young wisdom, he’s such a sweetheart! Lolli is in epic form doling out advice and shaking things up on Sparrow Falls with her fabulous eccentric energy. I adore the Colson family and simply cannot wait for more! Small-town hockey romance has my heart, and Broken Harbor is a spectacular addition to my favorites lineup.
Erin Mallon and Connor Crais brought this epic love story to life with flawless performances. Erin was phenomenal throughout Sutton’s gut wrenching, enthralling, mama bear character arc. Grab the tissues, get cozy and get ready to lose yourself in her impassioned & beguiling storytelling. Connor oozes charm and will make your…heart…flutter with his mesmerizing portrayal of Cope; from the flirty hockey pro to the protective, lovestruck, growly alpha, Connor brought his A game. Broken Harbor is a must-listen for all the hockey loving, small-town suspense girlies out there!

I’m really enjoying this series! I like romcoms but romantic dramas are where it’s at - it throws real world situations into play so it feels more authentic, and the love stories feel like they could actually be true.
I loved Sutton & Cope’s story - it’s not quite instalove but somewhere in the ballpark. Like meeting someone and knowing that they are unequivocally going to change your life.
Can’t wait for the next installment in a few months!!!

There's just something about a single parent romance that does it for me. Sutton and Cope (and Luca!) stole my whole heart in this one. I'm falling more and more in love with Sparrow Falls every new book that comes out.

They've escaped the trouble her ex-husband brought to their doorstep in Baltimore, and things are going fine. Enter Cope, hotshot hockey star and a Colson, who also happens to be volunteering at Luca's hockey camp. Sutton's sworn off professional athletes, but Cope is determined to break down her walls.
I LOVE THEM SO MUCH. Cope is just the right amount of cocky without being insufferable, and Sutton never takes shit from him. These characters were truly likable. I also really appreciated the tender moments between them, where they leaned on each other or opened up about the things that haunt them. The home they create with Luca was so sweet, and you just know Cope would go to the ends of the earth for both of them.
This series has been so good so far, and a bonus appearance from Holt from the Lost & Found series!!!! Lolli is still probably my favorite actual character in this series, but so far Cope and Sutton are my favorite couple.
