I did enjoy Beautiful Bastard, but I have to admit, there was too much sex. And for me to say that... It just seemed that every page had yet ANOTHER sex scene. Then the characters would fight and hate each other...then more sex... then more fighting. It was a sexual vicious circle. About 75% of the way through, I realized I was only finishing the book just to see if things changed with story.

I enjoyed the book, knowing nothing other than a friend likes it, I went in expecting nothing. Quick read, would read the next one.

It was readable, but that's all it was.
I did not enjoy this book. The "witty banter" was neither witty nor banter, it was two grown people snapping and sniping at each other like children and I was supposed to find it attractive and sexy... uh, no.
I also did not see a real connection between the characters at all. Their relationship was all lust and unfortunately that just doesn't do it for me.

Christina Lauren does it again. This book made me laugh, blush and hurt my heart just a little. Definitely a good read.

I went into this one almost blindly. And let me tell you… *it’s sexy*.
That’s it, that’s the best way to describe it. It’s sexy, with some doses of emotion, just so it doesn’t feel empty. It’s entertaining for what it is (just don’t expect to get too emotionally connected).
Having said that, for a book that focuses on the *sexy times* so much, it has a surprising amount of heart. Chloe and Bennett develop nicely, although sometimes their conflicts seem out of the blue.
It’s a cool read, but I probably won’t be re-reading.

At first I was sort of annoyed with this book, just because it was predictable they hate each other, yet they keep coming back for more. They hate each other, so they hate how they keep coming back to each other. Then they hate each other because they don't actually hate each other. However I will say I grew to really enjoy this book, and it was sweet. I enjoyed seeing them fall for each other, it was adorable. I will read more!

I've said it before and I'll say it again: sometimes you just need a little bit of trash. I think I burned myself out a little bit with Fantasy February so I'm trying to just take it easy this month and just read shorter books, more graphic novels, and indulge in a little bit of smutty fun when I'm having a rough day at work. It definitely makes my work day more interesting if my cheeks are on fire and so red they match my hair, which is the same color as a fire engine.
I really don't have much to say about this other than the fact that it was maybe a mistake to listen to it at work. Grace Grant was in top form as narrator, and, even though she was unfortunately tasked with reading both Chloe's AND Bennett's chapters, she did a great job, even though it kind of made me start giggling like a twelve year old whenever I heard her voice referring to his dick in the first person. Not her fault, of course, just hilarious and weird. Would it have been that difficult to find a dude to read his chapters?
This wasn't anything close to being special, nowhere near as good, well-written, or meaningful as Christina and Lauren's other book, Autoboyography, but it was a good time waster and it certainly didn't ask much from me as a reader, which was nice. I just kind of switched my brain off and enjoyed my time and, after reading over forty books so far in 2018, it was nice to have a book that gave me a bit of a break.
