Phoebe Waller-Bridge is a genius. I don't know how I can be moved across the extremes of emotions across so few pages of content, but as we see from the behind-the-scenes content also included in this book - P W-B cares and thinks deeply about how to connect to and compel the audience. Fleabag contains so many contradictions, but these contradictions are what provide depth and volume to the character. She's broken, yet hopeful, depraved yet delightful, cynical yet sympathetic.

"People are amazing, but...when will people realise...that people are all we got". (mood)
"I have a horrible feeling I'm a greedy, perverted, selfish, apathetic, cynical, depraved, mannish-looking, morally bankrupt woman who can't even call herself a feminist" (relatable)
(From the interview with Char, the stage manager): "A particularly heart-warming moment during this process was at SoHo Theatre, hearing an older woman say to an user after the show, 'please let her know she's not alone'" (oof)

the end bit was very interesting for me. Like na enjoy ko yung play but I much more enjoyed the interviews with everyone involved in the production of it. Ka interesting pakinggan ng lahat ng ginawa nila to produce it.

I don't know how to feel about this piece, I didn't like it but I don't hate it, I don't want to ever read or see anything about it again, but I can't escape from it and I'm fine chuckling when I stumble across some of the scenes somewhere.

I'm not sure if I would have liked it or disliked it more if I had not seen the first episode of the show before (I only watched half of it because it was all I could take)
