Mockingjay is just heartbreak after heartbreak & many tears were shed.

i am never getting over that ending. (🥴🤬😖🙂)

the hunger games trilogy is absolutely iconic and i 10000% get it now.

“…because something is significantly wrong with a creature that sacrifices its children’s lives to settle its differences. You can spin it in anyway you like….. but in the end, who does it benefit? No one. The truth is, it benefits no one to live in a world where these things happen.”

isn’t it terrifying how many parallels there are to our modern world in this trilogy?

This is definitely my least favorite book in the hunger games canon. I find it hard to focus on reading about war, but it is still overall a good read. I had listened to this book on audio about two years ago and I forgot a lot of the details so it was nice to revisit this along with the rest of the series.
I find the ending really sweet even though it is sad

I kind of loved this book. Okay, I straight up loved this book. I don't think I would have liked it before my early 20s though, it's kind of weird that it's a kids' book. I think it gets a little too intense/complex/unresolved, compared to the earlier two.
