Picked this up as an companion to the Calm app (which has lots of very good guide meditations). The book is a very quick read, and is really more for dipping in and out of for calming inspiration when needed. It is also nice because it seems UK based so has a lovely British feel to some of the writing in it. Full of lovely photographs and illustrations. I think this will appeal to a very specific audience but that it works very well for that audience.

My grandma gave this journal to me as part of my Christmas present this last year. She’s very much into the meditation and Zen related things and talks to me about it. I knew it would mean a lot to her if I completed the journal and told her about it. It takes on a very secular point of view on the subject of meditation. Which I understand because of the varying belief systems of the world. Although I didn’t totally agree with everything in the journal, I did mostly enjoy completing it.
