Probably a 3.5. I might have rated it higher, but this is the 12th Bosch in a row that I've just read. I'll give it a Harry a rest for a bit, as I'm getting a bit jaded ☺

A great addition to the bosche saga. predictable but still good

Bosch has been churning through cold cases for a year. But one comes up that he worked on a decade ago. And the killer wants to confess to it and several others. All which drives Bosch crazy — until he figures it out.

A pretty good mystery/crime/serial killer story in the Bosch series. More of a puzzler than a edge-of-your-seat thriller. You know Bosch will prevail in the end, but it's always fun to see who dies or gets damaged in the killer's (or Bosch's) path.

VERDICT: 3.85 stars in the Bosch universe, or 3+ stars for the general genre (crime/mystery).

A somewhat simple Harry Bosch mystery, but with a lot going on. The basic story is typical of Bosch, a 13 year old unsolved murder that he could never let go. Lots of red herrings everywhere, but Harry, of course, makes his way around them to finally figure out what's going on, while pissing off a few people along the way, including his boss, of course. He actually considered apologizing to one guy that he had been after for years because he was pretty sure he was the murderer, but that turned out to be unnecessary.

I enjoyed this one despite its getting a little tedious in the twists and turns. Bosch is annoyingly decisive in this one, which I guess is part of the point, but it's also annoying.

Audiobook. Listening to some Bosch the past few weeks. They're good!

Another fun book in the Harry Bosch series. This one has kept me entertained for a few days.
