I was rooting so hard for Jude and Marybeth, and gosh nothing like the love and loyalty of your dogs. And Anna’s backstory just heartbreaking. I loved this book

This book took me a super long time to get into. Like I had to read the book about 20% through, then pick it up months later and start again from the beginning, but once I got into the meat of the story, wow! I really enjoyed it! Maybe I just needed to be in a spooky mood. Hill's story is straightforward without too much world-building or distracting over description, just like his dad. The great thing about this book is you really didn't know where it was going, what would happen next, or just how they were going to detach themselves from this heinous ghost. The ending was pretty satisfying and I think I'll be trying more of Hill's books in the future.

Great ghost story. I only found out after reading this book that the author is Stephen King's son.

This was a fun, quick, spooky read by Joe Hill. A solid 3.5-4 star read for sure. While it didn't really scare me, it definitely set a somewhat spooky atmosphere and I needed to know what was going to happen. Hill also did a great job of making me care about Jude and Georgia, something that doesn't often happen for me. Definitely pick it up if you like thrillers with a supernatural bend, and some rock music love thrown in.

A heart shaped box...of chocolates ? Nah.
Try a heart shaped box containing an 85 year old grandfather ghost Fed Ex'd to haunt you mate. Unsuccessfully.

AUDIOBOOK: When you start turn out of SK books, you start reading his son’s books. Spooky story that felt very SK in tone and style. Highly recommend.
