Big fan of Nick Roberts novels typically so this was an easy choice to read.

While the concept is enticing(cmon guys, murder tunnel!), I was never fully invested in the story and I can't pinpoint exactly why.

The jump from the past to the present made things feel a little low consequence considering how deadly this tale was. It wasn't happening in real time and sometimes that takes you me of the story. If you don't mind that, you'll have a better time.

I did enjoy this, but definitely prefer his other work more.

I devoured this book! Highly recommend! Quick and creepy read for sure!

What a creepy novella! I discovered Nick Roberts last year after reading The Exorcist’s House (which was one of the scariest books I’ve ever read) and his work always impresses me. All his stories are original and creative and creep me out! This one was such an enjoyable read. It was fast paced and entertaining the whole time. Would recommend!

Dead End Tunnel follows Maverick Hall down memory lane, whether he wants to go or not. I loved that not only did you get Mav’s recollection of the story but his current thoughts and feelings throughout.

While he tells the story of what happened, it’s as if he’s actually *TELLING* it to you. It’s a very well thought out story, sticks to the proper timeline, and you know that Mav truly has been reliving that night.

I genuinely LOVE that the characters weren’t oblivious to their surroundings and happenings. The kids also did the exact opposite of what the Stranger Things kids would do (thank god!).

Dead End Tunnel followed a familiar theme of obsession and vengeance for his losses against a malevolent being. However, it’s not what you’d expect. It’s so much better!

Finally got around to this one. after watching Nick write this one and posting it on his Patreon page and waiting patiently until he had all the parts completed before i tackled them. im glad i waited, it needs to be read all at once. i started it a couple weeks ago and had to put it down because i got busy at work and didnt have time to read for a week, but i picked it back up and restarted it this weekend and what a ride. Loved how he wrote this one, the narrator told the story in a way that jumped from the present to the past, 1999, so you knew some of the stuff that happened as the story was being told, but it didnt take away from the story at all. Nick Roberts has become one of my top five authors over the last year and thats saying something! Everything he has written has been five stars and this is no different.
