I could not stand Thea in this book. This character was a hot mess! If she knew she never wanted to leave Montana, why string Logan along only to act all righteous? And selfish doesn’t even begin to cover it… Seriously, why not focus on being Charlie’s mom from the get-go?

This is why I avoid single mom tropes—they rarely hit the mark, and this one was a train wreck. Thea's flip-flopping gave me whiplash. She wants Charlie’s parents together, but can’t seem to leave her “family”? How many people move for the family they make? If she really wanted, maybe take Logan up on buying the land so Charlie could have the “open air?” 🙄 I don’t believe for 1 second she wanted what was the best for her daughter… she only loved herself…shit from her childhood “cut deep?” No one thinks of seeing a therapist at all? 😫

She made zero effort to compromise. Pathetic! It felt like her character was all over the place, and honestly, it dragged the story down.  I kept wanting to DNF but I want Jackson’s story and felt this would lead into it…

Thea is one of the worst characters I have ever read…and the story wasn’t touching or endearing just someone fake masquerading like a nice person but women like Thea are the ones who trap, oh, let me rephrase, make men fall in love and then act this way… it’s not nice to actually read 🤬🤬🤬 just irritating… and made this story sad.

I honestly could have gone without reading this story… FMC had 0 redeeming qualities… entitled, self serving and add anything else… it would fit… Logan was a stupid golden retriever 🙄
O stars…
