"I know the road isn't easy, but stay the course. You're doing good.”

Anything could happen in a span of five years. Dannie Kohan, a lawyer, only live by numbers and facts and certainties. She likes to control things. She's a very good friend.

I love the first impression that I had for this book, Dannie with her kinda of premonition about what will happen in her life, work, and also love-life in the next 5 years. And 99% of this book is about friendship between Dannie & Bella.
It's so heartwarming and this book is absolutely light and easy read.
BUT there's not so much character developement and something unusual about this book. It's like watching 1.5 hours drama movie that couldn't make it to theater and instead it's on Netflix streaming.

Don't get me wrong, I'm absolutely touched by Dannie and Bella's friendship. They're both amazing. But that's it. Nothing is really special other than that.

As usual, had no idea what the book was about when I picked it up. I figured it was a run of the mill rom-com. Instead, it was full of beautiful (if somewhat stereotypical) characters and a love story between two people I wasn't expecting. The glimpse into the future paints a scene and expectations throughout the entirety of the book - and you leave with both those expectations fulfilled and totally thrown on kilter at the why and how. Enjoyable, even if not as light as I was hoping for.

Love that it was not predictable but definitely felt there was parts that dragged on or seemed irrelevant. I could have also used more insight on "life after Bella" and what happened to Aaron.
