This was almost unbearable. As badly written as Zodiac Academy but with the unfortunate addition of a stupid plot and zero likea able characters. Will not be continuing.

I have already read all of Zodiac Academy and knew going in this series is a spinoff and the events occurred prior to those in the original series. I love this world a lot and forgot how fun these books could be. As this is the first one in this particular series, there was a lot of character building but not as much world building. Which worked for me since I’m familiar with the world already. Definitely would not recommend unless you have already started the Zodiac Academy series. I’m loving it so far and can’t wait to see how this progresses over the next four books.
