Oh, I just love Debbie Macomber! All of her books just reel me in and keep me under a spell. This one actually had a pretty good surprise ending that I was NOT expecting! I love when a book can surprise me instead of me figuring it out before hand.
emotional hopeful inspiring lighthearted mysterious reflective

I figured there was a twist with Dave but I thought he was going to end up being Jake not Doug.

ehhh. not that great. not terrible but the ending was too unbelievable for me.

This book was an interesting tie into the Blossom Street series since none of the book actually takes place on Blossom Street. However, at the end it becomes apparent how it will all tie in together. I found the main character, Susannah, to be quite annoying. I know there was a grand mystery to the whole book and a part of her life that she had been lied to about, but she just abandons her husband and seeks after some high school boyfriend and makes a million other hurtful mistakes in-between. When she finally asks her husband to come help her, he unrealistically forgives everything and they all instantly move on. Additionally, her daughter Chrissie acted more like a 15 years old than a 20 year old.

Good for a quick read.

this one had nothing to do with original but I enjoyed all the twists and turns Susannah went through to the ending She did end up on Blossom Street

Normally I really like Debbie Macomber books but this one just had to unbelievable a plot.

Surprisingly good. Have never read any of her books.
