This novel was an interesting segue into the next book in the series, and I enjoyed the switching points of view.
I especially loved the parts with Feyre & Rhys, because of course I do. My favorite line ever is ‘Feyre darling’, and I get giddy each time I hear it.
I read this book in just 3 hours, and it gave me some insight on a lot of the characters and their perspectives. I especially enjoyed the boys’ solstice ‘tradition’, & I thought that was cute.
It was interesting to see how everyone is adjusting to their lives after everything, and I’m interested in seeing how things play out with Nesta & Cassian.
Overall, the book was alright, but I definitely prefer the more action packed previous novels, although I am glad that I didn’t end up crying one time (Unlike in the previous novels)! It was a quick read, and mostly sweet, minus the gloom of
Nesta
hanging over everyone.
Also, I wanna know what the hell is going on in Azriel & Elain’s minds!! & tbh I hope that it takes Rhys & Feyre quite some time to get pregnant. Despite the fact that I think they’d be cute parents and that they deserve it, I feel like Feyre is 100% right in wanting to have more time and more adventures with just the two of them, especially when they’ve all been so busy. And despite their wholehearted love that is so cute, they’ve only been together ~less than a year-a little more than a year at this point, and Feyre is only 21 years old, which is not only young for a Faery. but also young for a human. Also, I hate the pregnancy trope lol.

CW: sex scenes, alcohol use

this was a cute enough addition to the series. it's not super plot-involved, as it's basically just following the characters as they gear up for the winters solstice holiday, but I enjoyed it and the interactions between everyone. some additional info regarding some characters & some sex scenes, just not as much action as the other books in the series, so don't expect it. there is a small snowball fight scene, but thats really as action-y as it gets!

Short and sweet. Exactly what this series needed. It was wholesome and heartbreaking (like all in the series) watching the aftermath of the war. Watching a chosen family try to piece one another back together.
Raw, emotional and beautiful in every way.
Also a great set up for A Court of Silver Flames!

A cute, side-development novella that gives readers some warmth and happiness with characters that have struggled in the aftermath of acowar. Just a warm and fuzzy addition 🥰
