What a wonderful collection. Gibb captures the anxieties of everyday life with such humour, playfulness and self-awareness. The recurring motifs of sleeping, waking, light and dark felt so wistful and nostalgic, and reflected my own experience of winter in Dunedin. I’ll be returning to this collection whenever I long for the harbour city’s long grey evenings.
