I received a copy of this book from Thomas Allen & Son in exchange for an honest review.

Even though I tend to come out in the middle somewhere with ratings when it comes to thrillers, I'm never quite able to resist the intrigue and mystery that comes along with them. I want to see what new ways someone has come up with to make someone go missing or to influence an investigation.

As far as thrillers go, this one is pretty middle-of-the-road. It's fun and addictive and you keep reading because you really want to know who was the one who took Meredith. But it doesn't really surprise you or add anything new to the thriller genre either. It's fairly predictable, though a fun journey to get there.

The Good Points of The Thinnest Air:

Greer and everything about her. I love that we had a hard-ass main character who was rock solid, but cared so much about her sister and her partner, but didn't take shit from anyone else. She was such a breath of fresh air and I absolutely adored her.

And all the other characters too. They're all pretty unique and fun to read about, even when you want to punch half of them in the face for being obnoxious.

The pacing throughout this was brilliant. It's set up perfectly so you get to spend just enough time getting to know the characters and the mystery, but is quick enough to keep you hooked until you're turning the last pages.

This book jumps back and forth in time depending on who is narrating that particular book. This is one of those things that can be really annoying as it's hard to keep track, but it worked beautifully in this book and it was very well done. It gives you the whole story, but releases the details as you need them.

The Downsides of The Thinnest Air:

This book doesn't do anything new and it doesn't bring anything unique to the table. Don't get me wrong, it's still a fun mystery, but you don't need to try to hard to figure out who did it and what's going to happen next.

This book tended to go over the same details again and again and again. Maybe that was the way that the characters were, as it did fit there, but it was a little annoying as a reader. I knew about things like Meredith's feelings about her marriage and such, I didn't need to read it five more times.

All in all, this was a fun read, but it wasn't unique enough to really make it stand out amongst all the other thrillers I've read over the years. If you enjoy stories told in different timelines, well thought out characters, and thrillers in general, you should definitely check out The Thinnest Air!

Ok so this book is super fast paced, it’s like reading only dialogue tbh but the action takes place when Meredith goes missing after a grocery shopping spree, her car is found with the driver’s door open and her purse and phone are on the right seat.

Now, Meredith is 22 and she gets married with this double her age rich dude after just 6 months of relationship. She loves him to the core and he loves her, he say they are forever because marriage is forever but Meredith is his third wife already. He portrays her like a show off pony, she is young, hot and needy and perfect for him. Although, going more into the book you see that Meredith isn’t quite that happy even if she has access to all the money in the world.

And then, she goes missing…

Her sister shares the narrator role as well, Greer is older than Meredith but having an idiotic mom who just doesn’t care about them, Greer was the one who raised Meredith and by the looks of it, the only one who truly cares of finding her.

Meredith has a stalker and an affair, seems pretty basic if you read the book. It’s so easy, it’s cheesy.

Apparently everybody in this book has secrets to keep. I sure hate her rich husband Andrew, such a dick.

I don’t think I could manage an opinion about the writer of this book, I don’t think I would search for her books in the shops but they are catchy. Although, not that complex.
Cheesy, cheesy, cheesy. No.

First I want to thank netgalley and the author for allowing me an advanced copy of this book. The book starts off introducing us Meredith and Andrew newlyweds . Meradith is quite younger than Andrew. Andrew treats Meredith as a trophy wife and she starts to alllow it to bother her. One day Meredith goes to the grocery store and disappears the police find her car with the keys and her purse in it. The book goes back and forth between Meredith and her sister Greer. Greer is trying find her missing sister, and starts to dig into her sisters life. Meredith’s side of the story is the events that led to her going missing. This book I give 3.5 stars it was a quick read I also figured out the mystery part quickly. If your looking for a light mystery and quick read this book is for you.

Simply An Amazing Read!

I chose this book because of the amazing reviews I've seen and read.
The book is about two sisters Meredith and Greer.
Meredith's car had been discovered at a grocery store parking lot. Car, purse, keys in ignition. No.sign of foul play.
She vanished into thin air!
Her sister Greer will stop at nothing to find her sister!
And it isn't going to be easy. As Greer goes down a dark dark road, she discovers secrets she didn't know existed.

I gave this book a 4.5 star review. It's was a great story.
And it had me pulled in from the very beginning.
This is my first time reading anything from Minka Kent. Now I'm a big fan and I'm excited to read more of her books!
