I did not like how the fight with the big bad guy went at the climax; it didn't seem terribly realistic with regards to abilities to me. Additionally, the magic system was very confusing and the rules were difficult to follow. Some of that could have been due to the length of time between my readings of the first and second books. I did really enjoy the witty, dialogue though!
