Wonderful book!

The unique story is told from multiple POVs which worked very well. I enjoyed that the story setting moved around the U.S. and combined fictional towns with some real. The book grabbed me from the start and I finished it in one day. It was hard to put down.

Well thought out characters. Our protagonist Weylyn is a complex character with a tragic past who possesses powers that impact the lives around him. The people he comes in contact are varied and relatable.

This is a charming book. The way that we get to learn about Weylyn from others makes him all the more charming. It has a good amount of sweet romance and a just right amount of magic.

This book was so cute. I love the way it is written in the points of view around Weylin. In a way it just shows us how he is affecting people. This love story between Weylin and Mary was tragic and beautiful and the ending was everything i needed it to be.

This book was a slow but steady book for me. I rarely take two months to read a book. I didn't read it slowly because I didn't like it. I loved it! Because I had other books that I was reading with a deadline (a library due date, or a book club discussion) this one kept getting set aside.  Every time I picked this book up again, it greeted me like a friend. As Weylyn says in the book; "Don't leave anything you can't come back to." This is a book I kept coming back to, and I'm almost sad to have finally finished it. The story of Weylyn Grey is part adventure and part magical realism, but it is ultimately a love story. It's about how our differences sometimes divide us, but how love can bring us back together. Told from multiple perspectives, in a series of tall-tale like stories, Weylyn is an unforgettable character that will charm you, confound you, and will capture both your heart and your imagination.

This was a lovely novel. It was engaging enough to read in a single day. I loved the telling of the main character from the perspective of all the people he meets and I loved how intertwined the characters were. There were no major events or antagonists in the book. It was more of a magical telling of how a single person can change the course of your life. I felt really good at the end and was happy I read it. Definitely worth the read. I'd give it a 4.5 if I could.
