This is another transitional book in the series, filling in some of the gaps of what Lily and Lo were up to during Rose and Daisy's individual books. So this book does cover some events that already happened, but it never feels redundant, because it's from the perspective of Lo and Lily, and there are also more private moments between them that didn't appear in Kiss the Sky or Hothouse Flower. I appreciate that K & B wrote this book, because I think it's necessary, and if you read it before you read Kiss the Sky or Hothouse Flower, you'll definitely be lost and it might not have the same impact. I like that this one focuses on those two years, because two years is a long time, and a lot happened to Lo and Lily. I just love the passion of their romance and the undying devotion they have to each other. One other thing I really love about this book is that Poppy and her husband Sam have a bigger presence, though it's still really tiny, but with my second time reading this series, I'm suddenly really craving a book about Poppy and Sam's romance and her own story. I know it's probably not a lot to compare to Rose, Lily, or Daisy's journeys, but I've always been curious about the oldest Calloway sister and Sam and Maria. I want a Poppy book!
Reading this series for a second time is proving to be super nostalgic and just giving me all the warm and comforting feelings of rereading a series I love so much.

I hear a lot of complaints about this book solely on the fact it’s a recap of kiss the sky and hothouse flower but I liked it. I didn’t mind the recap because it was from different povs and there was different inner dialogue throughout the whole thing. Not to mention all the new scenes and tidbits we got of Lily and lo that we didn’t see in the last two books. Not to mention the extra rose and Connor wedding scenes we didn’t see before If I remember correctly.

4 stars! ya'll I love lily and lo so freaking much it HURTS!!!! reading about lo struggle in this book broke my freaking heart. it was a bit slower for me than some of the other books, but that is because we already knew most of what happens from reading about it in the previous two books from the rest of the characters pov. but i will cherish every second i get with lily and lo. they are so special to me and i can't wait to see where their story goes because i only want the absolute best for them!
What was the point of this book?? Almost Everything that happened we already read! I just wanted to read through it to get to when the girls have their babies!
This was great byt the core 6 is always together so there’s beraly anything new
here's the thing, I think the only way to enjoy this book is to be unhealthily attached to these characters because nothing really happens and we've seen most of this already from the pov of other characters,,, good thing I AM unhealthily attached to these characters and would read their shopping list if I could
⭐️ 4.5 ⭐️
I loved this. When I was reading Kiss the Sky and Hothouse Flower, things kept happening with Lily and Lo that I was so confused about, and I was beyond frustrated that I was missing their side of the story. I didn't realize until after that this book fills in those gaps. It was so gratifying to actually see all the ups and downs they had during those couple of years. Heartbreaking and emotional. Lily and Lo are two of the most broken and loveable characters I've ever been inside the mind of. I cheer for them the whole time - my heart breaks and soars with theirs - their lows are my lows and their highs are my highs. I'm so incredibly attached to these characters - I don't know that I've ever felt quite this way before.
I feel like this book also wasn't QUITE as heavy on the sex scenes (there were still a few that were too graphic though) - it seemed to be more story driven, which I loved.
