I am on a really terrible book slump right now so I was searching for some sort of rom com that I could just listen to mindlessly. Scribd suggested this one and it had some high ratings so I tried it out.
A few chapters in I thought this book had a really misleading cover because it gives you zero impressions of the rom-com-ness (I had so many laughs tbh) but I guess it accurately reflects the last 5% of the book with all the REALLY GRAPHIC sex that went on. (Not a big fan of that.) That said, the rest of the book was HILARIOUS. It’s the combination of the witty-sarcastic writing of the MC’s internal monologues and the delivery of the narrator that really won my heart over, but I honestly thought it was also quite sweet how she kind of found herself in the end with the help of Cameron. Lots of familiar workplace tropes and character tropes, but overall a fun, quick read for catching up on Reading Challenges lol.

Funny book, fairly cute. Cam was a lovely MMC, Ioved him.
i liked that Cam fell first and how patient and loving he was.
I died laughing soooo many times. This was a hilarious, sweet book that still managed to cover issues in the world with grace.

Been more than 15 days ever since I begin with this book, and I finally Finished it. I have heard so many good things about it. Ppl basically call it the best work of the author when it’s anything but that 🤮
It was so cringe and heroine so fcking stupid and corny. In her mid life crisis kind of an age she wants to learn how she can seduce her boss, but as she’s low self-esteem and thinks she’s fat, she uses her neighbor’s bro which is some actor to practise 💀
