I was expecting to see more of Luke and the gang, but they only had very brief appearances in the story. The story was all wrapped up in Dusk and Finn. Not to bad, but not great. It gets really annoying at times with all the talk about the different creatures that the couple run into. The ending was really different than I expected. On to the next one in the lineup- 'Choices Of One', which is the sequel to 'Alliance'.

Predictable, cookie cutter Star Wars. There are a few cameos of "the big three" to keep interest up but the overall book was just a quick Star Wars fix. It would be interesting to see the main character come back in a tertiary role later on or to know what eventually happens to Finn. These would probably be as background to some one else's story which is about what they deserve.

Overall, a mediocre effort, but not a painful read for Star Wars fans who want to read the complete collection.

This was not holding my interest and I've just found out that it's a tie in for a game that's not only unavailable now but also a game that I wouldn't be playing anyway (MMORPG).
So even if that hadn't have turned me off reading, the amount of uninterested slogging that I had to get as far as I did was already having me convinced that I needed to stop reading this soon.
