Didn’t realize that this would be the book that would mark my completion of my yearly reading challenge. But what a perfect pick! I’m dying to do this play again. The closing poem hit me especially hard this time.

This play and its poetry are beautiful. If this were able to be a live play it would be breathtaking. However, I just never got into it. There were some funny lines but the way in which the letters are used, to mimic dialogue, confused me at times and I dont quiet see Ruhl's vision for most of the play.

(I read this as part of the 2022 storygraph genre challenge)

This play was rather heart wrenching for anyone who likes Elizabeth Bishop, has ever felt alone, or can empathize easily with people.
