It's a short story that combines The Little Mermaid and Aladdin. It was cute and funny.
Like the, “Yes—well…how lovely to see your psychopathic tendencies played out in real life.” Amir stretched out his front paws." It made me actually LOL a few times.
We find out a backstory for Moon and partially some for the Jinni (genie).
It definitely has a few twists. I said, "WAIT. WHAT?" a few times? It's crazy. lol.
The ending felt a little sudden, but the relationship had been building. So it's also still really sweet.

So if you want a light and whimsical fantasy short story about sacrifice and drama, read/buy it. You may not think about mermaids the same again.
