Liz is sassy AF and I love her for her stubborn and mischievous ways. Whilst I don't vibe with some of the early content, with consent being dubious at best, the romance is definitely one for fans of the fated mates, enemies to lovers, forced proximity, and hurt/comfort tropes. Overall an enjoyable, quick read that does a good job of setting the foundation for the series whilst also having plenty of spice.

What It’s About: Picking up right where the previous volume left off, this story showcases Liz, who’s kidnapped by Raahosh after he resonates to her, leading to dire consequences when they return to the alien tribe.

Spice Level: It’s even better this time around, not only because Raahosh is, ahem, the biggest alien boy on the planet, if you get my drift, but because there’s a lot more anticipation this time around.

Realism: I think this was the best place to go after the first book, because it showcases what we as readers were all wondering. What do you do when your choice in relationships is taken away from you? Watching Liz go through the process from being unwilling to skeptical to accepting was a really nice way to deal with that idea.

Trope Alert: This one is all enemies to lovers.

Trigger Warnings: There’s still a fair amount of dubious consent going on in this one.
