my favorite book ever, the way the author writes is very poetic and loveable accompanied by a very robust politcal plot, 100% recommend

Oh my god, I'm finally finished! It took me sooo long to get through this because I started before the translation was finished, and then when I picked it up again when it was... I had to start all over again, lol
Though that turned out to be a good thing because on my second read, I already kinda knew what characters (of which there are so, so, soo many) were important so I could focus more on the plot.
This is basically an enemies to lovers romance set in a struggle for power over an entire country between the noble ruling class and...kinda multiple different factions. There's a lot of sheming going on^^
What I loved was that the "enemies" part of the romance was only like.. a third of the book max. So the other two thirds are of them as a power couple girl bossing & gaslighting their way to power. As they should!
The plot is great too, though a bit confusing on the first read...it gets kinda technical for a minute there with the economics and...yeah you just kinda have to muddle through and pretend you know what's happening.
If you have the patience to read through multiple chapters of grain distribution and trade routes, I promise it is worth it.
All in all, it's an absolutely fantastic & unique story. I loved it.
