Donatello's body has been badly damaged. While his friends work tirelessly to save him his consciousness inhabits a robot turtle so that Donatello can aid his family against the Shredder. They seek vengeance for the violence, but is it the correct path? It seems that no matter how weirdly mystical things get, it's totally acceptable. Reincarnated Japanese ninjas, some of whom happen to be animals that happened to be experimented on and become anthropomorphic, just in time to battle their old foes? Why not? Robot turtle convenient for use when you lie dying with your shell split open? Of course! The writing hooks you. I am so invested in this series!
