This was like reading an old fashioned telenovela and a coming of age story from the 90s; it kept me hooked and I found it so relatable as a fellow Mexican-American. I loved the complexity and THE DRAMA!
This was a beautifully written and engaging story with interestingly flawed characters. Iâm always there for a story of women subverting expectations, and this novel did just that. It dealt with some dark topics in a way that felt real and thoughtful. Iâd recommend!
