Oh, this was SUCH a joy to read. Wilson's tone is conversational, as if the reader is her closest confidant, and the quality of her writing is superb. She is SO funny and lively and she speaks about her struggles with her mother's death and OCD so candidly that I cried MANY times on the subway. This was just a delight, through and through.

I loved the themed chapters and how they were each individually threaded together and then the way the whole book culminated.

As someone who suffers from anxiety, many of the things mentioned throughout the book hit close to home, especially the important lesson that it is okay to make mistakes (and the difference between knowing it and accepting it) and that you won't be able to get rid of your anxiety, you can just learn to acknowledge it.

Highly recommend this book even to people who haven't seen Matilda (I barely remember it myself)

I didn't know what to expect from this book going in but I loved it.

It definitely jumped around a bit and that was really my major gripe, the lack of flow. I also recommend the audiobook.

Mara Wilson's Where Am I Now is absolutely my favourite book I've read in a long time. It was heartfelt and funny, and had me sobbing at some parts.

It truly was a pleasure to read this.
