Concept was interesting. Who doesn't wish a character from a book came to life? I kinda wished they went into what happened after the happy ending though.

Really enjoyed this it's very unique. My mum is currently reading Off the Page but as soon as she's finished with it I'll be picking it up!

Completely intriguing idea for a novel. Sweet characters with expected over-the-top teenage emotions. I like how the mom doesn't quite get the teenager - since that's usually how it goes. I would love a companion to this book that is the original story by Jessamyn.

Jodi is my favorite author, which is why I'm so very disappointed in this book. It seemed like she didn't even try with it. The language is immature, contrite, and horribly shallow. Honestly, this isn't a YA book as much as it's a children's book. Great idea, but just poorly executed. I'll stick with her adult novels.

AWESOME story! Everyone who loves fairy tales will love this book. Very creative story line with beautiful pictures. I didn't want the book to end, so...I'm hoping for a sequel.

This book was like nothing I have ever read before. It shows you that when you close a book the story doesn't end, the characters are always alive just waiting for the next person to interpret the book differently. It also showed me that with determination you will try your hardest to get to the love of your life even if it means dying in the process. Jodi Picoult and her daughter really outdid themselves with this book.

I’ve just gotta say that was such an enjoyable reading experience. I read books 1 & 2 back to back and I’m so glad I did, what a ride!

A very sweet book, simple but charming :)
It felt like a children's fairy tale, basically. Not super complex, but I liked it.

When you close a book, do you think the characters just stay in the course of the story or they do not exist at all? What if,once you leave the page and close the book, the characters inside have a life of their own and they are just fufilling the roles they were given or so to say 'how they were written' once the book was open again? You may change your mind after reading this book.

This is a good and very creative book. It jumps from the realm of the impossible to th possible. It is applicable as children's literature and at the same time as a young adult novel. I wonder if this could happen in real life? Hahaha. Better hope for a movie! The characters we get to know inside the book may have a different life once the pages were closed. You coud see that Jodi Picoult and Samantha Van Leer really put a great effort in giving us this unique and one of a kind book.
