There is a reason I put off reading this one for so long. 😭 Seriously every other page had me bawling my eyes out. Between Mark and Jessie and Beau I couldn’t stop the tears if I tried. This is such an amazing MG book that has great themes for children and adults alike. Reminded me of Bridge To Terabithia.

I expect a lot of people are comparing this to The Fault in Our Stars. It does deal with a young person with cancer, and the covers are a little similar. But the story stands on its own and explores the role of anger that comes with a terminal illness. The story kept my attention, until the end, and made me think.

This book was so heart wrenchingly sad. I loved the story and actually finished it a while back.

A quick read that both made me angry and sad. I likely wouldn't read it again.

THIS BOOK IS SOOOOO GOOD OML LOOOOOVE

Ways to make me cry: gimme a book about a kid who's got cancer and a dog. Jeez, this is too much for my heart. I usually avoid this kind of story, but this book is really special. All the reviews I read recommending it were right. I cried, yes, but I loved it. Pretty amazing and touching.

My ten year old son insisted I read this after he finished it in two sittings and raved about how he felt like he lived the book and felt everything the narrator felt.
It's a quick, quality story, and I can see why my son, a fan of My Side of the Mountain and Wonder, enjoyed it so much.
