This installment made this couple even more intriguing, and of course I have to move to the next book to see what is behind the mystery.

Although Cal is totally sexy, with a rockin' body, he knows what he wants in bed and out of it, but he's just not as "alpha" as I expect him to be. He needs to be a little bit...more. His relationship with Macy is sex only and he wants more. He wants a monogamous dating relationship. Being monogamous is pushing it for Macy. Her life is full of one night stands only. She can do monogamous but she doesn't date. Her issues make her think she doesn't deserve or isn't worthy of that kind of relationship but the closer she gets with Cal, the more she wants to give it a try. Awesome cliffhanger ending! I'm waiting on pins and needles to find out exactly what is in Macy's past that has affected her entire life so harshly. Can't wait for book three!

The two characters are involved is a 'just sex, not love' relationship. As the reader, you are like- awe hockey pucks! In a boat on the river denial. However, the Author gives a look into the heads and hearts of our H & h that make you like them, not turned off by lots of angst and drama. It's all very adult with 'I have demons and boundaries'. I hate summaries that give away too Much. In keeping in short, for example there is a conflict that coulda gone WAY south, but the h sees the H point of view and handles the difference with adult conversation.
This book gives you doses of everything you expect. Good dialog, enough other story line drama to keep it interesting to watch the journey.
Now, this is a cliffhanger. But not the kind that suck or make you cry. Nope this ends with "What the heck?" Having to know what happens next.
