simple and super cute "i hate my coworker. they are so infuriating" but really it's "omg. please love me."

4 1/2 stars

This was cute. The enemies to lovers trope was kind of weak and underdeveloped. Jonathan is pining for Gabby the entire time and the grumpy “scrooge” attitude was mild. The “enemies” part was really just Gabby holding a grudge for a year?

5 stars to Jonathan who is both a hockey player and early connoisseur of romance novels. I was giddy with the Pride & Prejudice references.

I. Am. OBSESSED!! I would like my own Jonathan Frost please

2.75. Just wanted to get in the holiday spirit but all I got was the ick and a craving for peppermint hot cocoa.

just as perfectly perfect as i remember

This was my first Chloe Liese book and I am OBSESSED! The author’s straightforward writing style makes the characters so believable and relatable. This story had me hooked from chapter one. Similar premise as The Hating Game but with a holiday twist. Absolutely loved it!

A mix of You’ve Got Mail and The Hating Game set in a bookshop at Christmas time. Light, fluffy, cheesy and predictable but a fun time.

What I liked:
Neurodivergent and demisexual rep.
Bookstores and books.
What I didn’t like:
Everything else.

this was short and sweet i loved it. i love the representation and how both their love was believable even in less than 200 pages. no unnecessary conflict. i just didn’t understand how he was a hockey player and had a full time job at the bookstore. other than that great!
