A quick, cute, holiday enemies to lovers read.
Not one of my "Can't put it down" read books, but the ending wrapped up so perfectly!!! ✨
"My hand over his pounding heart, his hand over mine, I kiss the man I love. My happiest happy ending. He kisses me, too, soft and cool as falling snow, and whispers what I already know, down to my bones— I’m his happy ending, too."

looooved this book first time around, and loooooved it even more the second time!! it's enemies to lovers, set during christmas in a bookstore, the spice is perfect, and there's GREAT autism/ownvoices rep. so worth the read!
Chloe Liese writes the sweetest books and IMO the only thing that could have made this one better was if it was dual POV. We love a man who pines :')

I thought it was cute and not too cheesy. While it was quick they had time to get to know each other which was nice

This would have been a better read during the Christmas season but still I found this to be a really light and enjoyable read. Finishing touches? To create the right atmosphere as the story progresses, a playlist of music is included with every chapter. I'm thrilled to be able to combine my passion for music and literature. It was such a kind gesture.
The protagonist of the tale is a woman named Gabriella. Gabriella has been employed for six years in a nearby bookshop. Since the bookshop has been having trouble modernising commercially, Gabriella is given a new coworker who is entrusted with modernising the company. Their plans for the bookshop cause the two to argue.
The fact that Gabriella has autism and finds it difficult to "read people" and their motivations is shown right away. Because it caters to her sensibilities, the bookshop is perfect for her. Returning to the plot, Gabby and her coworker's connection grows more intense as Christmas approaches. They both struggle to deal with each other and fight for the highest Christmas sales in an effort to rescue the bookshop. But as her "foe" starts to appear in her dreams and surprise (or confound) her in other ways, Gabriella does begin to question whether her "hatred" is something else entirely.
