This was everything good that I love about holiday romances. The pining, the LOVE, the EVERYTHING. I barely have the words it was just so so good.
Perhaps my favorite holiday romance?! It was so cute. And it’s probably because it was so short the cheesiness didn’t feel overwhelming. Love an MMC who’s down BAD. It’s a You got mail retelling with some Jane Austen mixed in so basically it was written just for me.

THIS WAS EVERYTHING! A perfect trope-filled romance set during the holidays, with bickering coworkers, a "secret" identity, an obvious refusal to have miscommunication, he falls sooo first, and all the joy and cheer and swooning I wanted. This was the perfect length, with the perfect mix of plot, character development, and pure fluff. I stayed awake far too long into the night reading, and I don't regret a minute of it.

5 stars!
This book is pure serotonin. Honestly, I couldn’t stop reading it because I wanted to keep experiencing the sheer amazingness that is this book.
Chloe Liese is an incredibly gifted writer and her way of creating extremely well developed and in-depth characters in a plot that is all angst and sunshine at the same time will never stop astonishing me.
This is a super sweet, enemies to lovers, grumpy hero and sunshine heroine holiday story set in a bookstore!!!! Honestly not one that you’d want to miss at all.
It’ll have you laughing and crying and aw-ing all throughout and it’ll make you wish it never ended.
If you’ve not read any of Chloe’s books before, you definitely need to, including this incredible new one!

I generally like this author, I was hoping for a good holiday romance, I am disappoint.
I suppose because it’s a novella you just can’t get that same level of character development and relationship building. It was boring and pointless. And some of the dialogue was like, what? People don’t talk like this….
I think I’m moving back to horror next.

“Books help me make sense of others, and they help me make sense to others. They’re my conduit, one of the best ways I can relate to people.”
It was incredibly SWEET, enemies to lovers, co-workers, they both have emotional backgrounds and that’s just amazing, as previous Chloe’s books! (Bergmans brothers stole my heart)
I mentioned that it is a holiday romance too? I loved it❤️

'Tis not the season, but the holds queues at the library are finally down, and Chloe Liese is for all seasons. And because it was Chloe Liese, it did not disappoint! I am firmly in the camp that holiday reads are meant to be cheesy, meant to show off tropes, and meant to be just as saccharine as any Hallmark Channel movie. Throw in some demisexual rep, autistic rep, and diabetes rep, and this was pretty much all I could've hoped for. Short, sweet, and just a little spicy, all in one tiny package. Bonus, I loved this audiobook narrator.
