Poverty is constantly changing. Also constantly switching from past to present very confusing.

The beginning of the book was a tad slow for me. It felt a bit dragged out. It was my first book with different POVs and one was very more interesting and juicy than the other one. Finished the book in 4 days and the ending was pretty heartwarming :)

Well, I broke down and tried a CoHo book. I needed to know what the fuss was about. I wasn’t sure which one to begin with, but Ugly Love was available at the library so started with that one. I was not disappointed.

The pace of the story was really good. It kept me interested and there were few lagging moments in the storyline.

As far as characters go, I had a love/hate relationship with Miles. I hated how at times he strung Tate along. I hated how closed off he was. I hated what he was putting Tate through. It was frustrating and at times a little cringey. However, I have also not lived through the kind of heartache that Miles had so who am I to judge on his guardedness.

As far as Tate goes, I liked how she was at least self aware of what was going on. I didn’t like how long it took her to stand up for herself. It definitely shouldn’t have lasted as long as it had.

The chemistry between them was a bit rushed or fast in developing. I liked their witty banter. I kind of wish we had more moments of that, but I know that wasn’t a part of the deal.

If you’re looking for a cozy read with romance and a medium to fast pace, this could be the one for you.

I loved love love loved it. I loved the story, the writing the gripping emotions and feelings and what Miles went through as well as Tate, Rachel and a few insides to other side characters  it was just so well put together and wanting to know more about what happened in mile's past to make hime the way he was and why he was feeling and ending up the way he is. I felt my heart drop in
chapter 32 having just lost a child myself due to miscarriage I know was slightly different circumstances and situations but I felt so much with in this chapter and one or 2 more of them after it
I just had to keep reading till the end to see how it all worked out , Miles and Tate deserve each other so much.
Love your family no matter how small or big. Those close to you that make you feel loved or wanting to give love back. Hug them a little tighter each day.

Not my favorite Colleen Hoover book. The characters essentially go through the same conflict multiple times without developing until an outside situation (which does nothing to resolve the conflict) occurs and magically makes everything better. The one redeeming factor was the quality of Hoover's signature twist. Definitely not what I expected!

I also REALLY hated the male narrator's "past" voice. It was supposed to sound young and naive compared to the present day character, but just sounded creepy. Especially the way he said "Rachel" although that may be because it's my name and he had to say it 2957320184 times.
