★★★★ 4 Preppy stars!

After that jaw dropping cliffy in Part One we finally get the answers we are waiting for and needless to say the confessions and surprises did not disappoint! In Part 2 we learn more about Samuel "Preppy" Clearwater whereabouts and the after affects that it had on him. Then of course T.M. Frazier had to throw in some more twists and turns that had me wanting more...today!

We got to see a vulnerable side of Preppy that had my heart hurting and wanting him back to his usual self. He is not Preppy without his full sarcastic self and attire which entailed bow ties. He is lost and out of place. He is back to a place he is not familiar with all the changes around him. Regardless of what his friends say or do he needed to overcome the traumatic event he was experiencing on his own and without that realization he was in limbo.

"I have nightmares all the time. You know what's the only thing that makes them go away?" He placed his and over mine. "You. You silence the world when its too fucking loud. You make me feel less broken."

Then we have Andrea "Dre/Doc" Capulet who has been utterly broken by Preppy. Torn by her heart, mind, and body with the constant feels when she sees the one man that has gotten deep into her soul. Confusing her true reasoning in staying in Logan's Beach and debating if coming back will give her the closure she seeks; however, is that what she really wants and needs?

When I was weak Preppy saved me by giving me his strength.

Preppy and Dre are two spirits who need each other and it clearly shows how much they affect one another regardless of the time apart and the constant challenges that they are faced with. Their love story is not pretty but it is one that will have you wishing for things to go their way but because of their past personal history it is one that is not easy to overcome and many times can be hard to deal with. The need to push through and move on is vital in order for things to work in their favor.

As it got close to the end I knew we were up for another cliffy. After all that has been going on: the ugly, the good, and the bad; I had no clue on where she was going with the story but yet the author does it again! Those last lines had my head screaming NOOOOOOOO!

Now the questions lies...should you wait for Part 3 to read all at once? In my opinion, since we have 2 out of 3 books I say it is safe to say to start reading the series. Although the author leaves you with another cliffy it is one that leads towards another route in their story together. ;)

Considering I devoured both book one and book two today, I think it's safe to say I'm in love with Preppy! Bring on the release of book three!!!

This may be my favourite of all of T.M. Frazier's novels. It covers a lot of difficult topics, love and heart ache, and I love it. Some of the formula I've come to expect and love from the other books is missing here which made it kind of a refreshing read.

Omg I can't believe it took me 2 year to man up and read this I had to go back and read a few chapters back of part one to refresh my memory and once I did that I was instantly back on Lagan's Beach like I never left. I immediately started this one and I devoured it in one sitting. I loved it!

So , on to book 3 , but I kind of wished some more of preppy and Ray moments... like for instance, Thia mentioned Ray kept going to Preps grave.. I wished we say a moment of that , of Prep and Ray getting closure or something

03/26/2018 - DNF at 41% Chapter 11. Even though I read the previous five King Series books my tolerance for the general unpleasantness, dullness, drugs, excessive foul language, and errors is gone. I see no reason to continue reading.
