I have read king's story, Bear's story, and now Preppy's story and I love every bit of their sex, drugs, love, killing and other crazy things in these books.

After reading this whole series, I was really excited to get my hands on this book.
Preppy is one of the those characters that you know you shouldn't like because maybe he's a bit crazy, and does some stupid things but you can't help but have a soft spot for him.
The story started off slow but soon picked up pace. We get to see a whole other side to Preppy. He's not always going to be the happy and jokey Preppy we know and love. Especially after what he's been through.
It broke my heart finding out what he had gone through. Plus finding out what Dre had to go through while overcoming her addiction. I was hoping we would get a lot of Preppy and Dre together but in all honesty there wasn't. But it fit the story perfectly. Their story isn't one that needs to be rushed and you could tell that was the author's intent.
I loved that we got to see the whole gang again, they are all important to Preppy and we really get to see that when they are helping him through is ordeal.
We got to see a unexpected character which I was really excited about. Hopefully we see more of him and hopefully he gets his own story told.

Now I have to sit here after reading that massive cliffhanger and what for the third and final part to Preppy's story!!
(I hope it isn't a long wait.)

Yes this author did it again! A cliffhanger ending and losing sleep. I love this series so much!! I can't wait to start the third Preppy book.

Somehow, once again, when it comes to Preppy I got heartbreaking and hilarious!! While my heart was positively aching for what my baby went through, he constantly found a way to make me laugh. How great was that hot tub scene? It almost made me pee my pants! While I knew all along that I missed Preppy (ever since [b:King|18739485|King (King, #1)|T.M. Frazier|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1434996511s/18739485.jpg|26616947]), I didn't realize just how much until the author brought him back to life in this book. Parts of him will be forever changed, a consequence of his pain, but I still found so much of the old Preppy that I knew and loved was still very much alive. He's a new version of himself: Preppy 2.0 if you will.

I love that the author didn't rush this story. Time was spent seeing the many facets of Preppy's anguish and his slow recovery. It was worthwhile to watch as he tried to claw his way out of the darkness. The attention placed on his sensitivity to light and sound was on point. And what a pleasure it was to watch him not only survive and live but to also thrive.

In the author's note, she states: "It's not just a love story between two people, it's a story about family, loyalty, and the kind of love that goes BEYOND romantic love." Indeed. The familiar cast of characters were there to love and nurture and support Preppy. Dre eventually became a part of all of that. Their road wasn't short and it definitely wasn't easy. But sometimes true beauty cannot be realized without real misery. Don't we always see the prettiest rainbows after the worst rain? That's what Preppy's story is for me. And don't mistake it, this was absolutely Preppy's story. Everyone else is supporting cast and I can't wait for the story to continue in book three. That ending though????

What I need to know more about:
Smoke's reappearance
Will there be any weddings?
Who the heck helped Chop torture Preppy?

Once again, Preppy's giving me all the laughs even while going through some crazy stuff. I like Dre for him, and just want them to get their HEA! On to book 3 of the Preppy/Dre saga!
Also loving the narrators, both fit the characters nicely and give great performamces!
