Haven't read in years and have been craving to read something recently. Picked up this book for free from accomadation we were living in. I did not realise at first that the book was from a series of books (book #5? I think).. So now I'm curious to go back and start from the beginning "The Suspect". I think you can read all the books as a stand alone but there are a few mentions here and there to past events that I assume are covered in the other books.
The book was a super easy light read for me, gripping from the very first page. Its possible it could be to over the top or "dramatic" for some people but I think thats exactly what I needed to keep me engaged and actively reading. Chapters are short and I read within a week even as a slow reader.
There are some **triggers** to be aware of.

I read this a while ago, so I'm definitely due for a re-read, however, I can say this. Michael Robotham never misses. If you're after a good murder mystery/crime novel, with interesting plots and even more interesting characters, I highly recommend this book for you. There are some heavy topics in this book, so please tread carefully.
