LOVED.

Well this was lovely. I read a good deal of it out loud to myself and it was honestly exactly what I needed to hear.

Neil Gaiman is an exceptional man.

"Why Our Future Depends on Libraries, Reading and Daydreaming" is the most fantastic ode to reading.

And his "Make Good Art" speech will never stop to amaze, move, and even change me.

To anyone who likes fiction, read this book.
But, especially, to anyone who inspire to do art, any kind of art, read "Make Good Art".

Absolutely words to live by.

This beats “oh , the places you'll go” as my new favorite graduation gift particularly for any creatively inclined individuals. Also, a pleasantly uplifting little book for anyone who may have felt a little lost on their creative journey and looking for a little comforting pat on the shoulder from Uncle Neil assuring them that if you keep reading, dreaming, drawing and looking toward the stars, you might get there.

That wasn't what I expected.

I approve of the message. I appreciate it. I just didn't really need to check it out from the library.

Inspirational for anyone and everyone, whether you are a novice or expert. It truly inspires me to be fearless and create.

A short collection of essays and speeches from Neil Gaiman, illustrated by Chris Riddell about how important it is to read, support libraries, and most importantly make art. Find the time - and there is always time to make art, be creative and explore, learn, grow.

This was a quick read (clocking in at 112 pages) and will be a book that I will recommend to anyone and everyone who needs a bit of inspiration.

This was everything I didn’t know I needed. AMEN, Neil Gaiman, AMEN.
