Just a few talks that Gaiman has given plus his "credo" in a heavily illustrated (almost like a graphic novel, but it's not a novel), thin little volume.
It's a neat little book, but I'm glad I can grab it from the library because the price point is quite high per page and some or all of the content is available free online.

Love the advice in this book. It’s inspiring. Would love to have this book for my classroom library.

Another bite size book that I absolutely loved!
I knew that I wanted to read this book from the instant I saw the title: Art Matters. As a writer, I resonate with this message greatly and I can't express enough how important it is to me.
Chris Riddell's artwork compliments the writing of Neil Gaiman beautifully, creating an incredibly enjoyable reading experience. These smaller, inspiring bite size books have been extremely refreshing after quite a few heavy reads.
Nothing groundbreaking, but so easy to read and absorb that I can't help feeling so pumped and inspired after reading Art Matters. And in the midst of lockdown induced writer's block, that means all the stars from me.

Okay, didn't expect this book to make me cry. Especially the last part about being and artist and finding your place in the world hit hard. Damn.
Inspiration and Art. Fun read when I needed a distraction.
