A great quick read if you're needing a creative pick me up boosting book to remind you why you set out on a creative path. There's obviously a heavy book/writer point of view.

This- this was absolutely wonderful, especially to an aspiring 'artist' of all sorts. Neil Gaiman never fails to surprise me with his wonderful words, and Chris Riddell's art is inspiring and brilliant in all its simplicity.

A short compilation of previously published texts by Gaiman with illustrations by Chris Riddell.
Gaiman is one of my favourite authors. I find his work extremely intelligent, imaginative and stimulating. Here he discusses his thoughts on freedom, the importance of reading and the need to save and preserve libraries, and the absolute necessity and urgency of nurturing Art in all its forms in every generation to come.
He says what we all know intuitively but are often reluctant to embrace. He reminds us and I quote,

A beautifully published book with Riddell’s whimsical illustrations adding depth to Gaiman’s inspired text. This was a great read and would make a wonderful gift for a budding artist and anyone interested in creative pursuit.
