I've always liked Neil Gaiman's work and I have personally found him inspiring - this book was originally borrowed from my local library (a place of which I borrow an average of 6 books a month from) and I love this book so much, I have to buy it the next time I am in town!
Yes libraries are very important places and I often worry that they are closing down, THEY MUSTN'T! Thank you for touching this subject in the book, also thank you for giving me a boost in creative confidence <3
An update after the second read, once again borrowed this from the local library, I think I am going to have to buy this to keep soon - recently I have been reading faster and longer than usual and I am back to my old reading self again of now reading 3 books from the library a week, rather than 6 a month.

The Illustrations, humor, and messaging of the book are top-notch. In the book, Neil Gaiman is encouraging people to chase their dreams and not run after money. It also brings on the emphasis on reading and art in our lives. These are things we already know, but this short 2-hour reader is super cool.

Loved most pearls of wisdom , but some made me uncomfortable as I felt I wasn't upto it.
For example , if I follow my heart , I will resign from my job and just read and eat and sleep... And after sometime may feel lethargic and bored. I envied Gaimann and Riddell for they ended up doing what they love. I can envy them because I don't know of their struggles , if they had any ..
Don't know why I am rambling instead of reviewing , but I find it a cute book which I would definitely gift my artist niece some day or the other .
Read this as part of a teams challenge . Initially had no plans for reading , but somehow I found myself involved with the book.

The writing good, the advice golden, and the illustrations out of this world. Do give this a read and seize the day in whatever that you love to do.
I read all these before. Drawings were good but the words still pack power.
Bunch of stuff I've read before from his nonfiction collection. I like it. Not sure I needed it illustrated but that is the Way of the Gaiman. All must obey.
