This book is so well written.  The depths a parent would go to to save their child.

Honestly, I would give this book 3.5 stars. I went through phases of REALLy liking the book, to not being sure how I felt about certain situations. The characters are deep, and I like that you get to see the plot from the different character's view points. We even get to see the child's point of view.

The book really does make you think... "what would you do if you were in that situation?" I'm still contemplating how I feel about what the main character, the mom, did and how she really didn't feel any guilt. And the plot twist at the end... not sure yet how I feel about it. I may have to come back later and edit my review.

If you're a fan of Jodi Picoult, this is a must read. Not as good as Sister's Keeper, but one of her better books.

Every parent's nightmare - someone hurts your child. The nightmare is compounded when this particular parent realizes just how much trying to seek justice will continue to hurt her child. Then when the abuser turns out to be someone who should be trusted - she snaps.

I really enjoyed that this story didn't end where I thought it might. It went beyond the vigilante moment and followed it through.

Definitely dark and haunting.

The plot became a bit too soap-operaish, but the story was entertaining overall.

Another good Picoult book, the question remains how far you would go to protect your own child. I found the ending somewhat contrived but overall it was a gripping read that I didn't want to put down.

Nina is so selfish and unlikable I just couldn’t spend anymore time with her.

I often find myself annoyed with the fact that all of Jodi Picoult's books are EXACTLY alike. They all involve children, prison, and usually a trial. I keep reading her books though because although she never writes anything different, they still keep my interest.

This book was the same, but it was still a decent book.
