This is not my first Jodi Picoult book, and it definitely will not be my last. I just love how flawed her characters are, it makes them feel real. The story starts out with the tragic molestation of Nina, an attorney who knows all too well how the legal system works. But quickly the plot takes you somewhere different, as do most of Picoult's novels. It's an intense read, or maybe I just fall too deep into the character's lives. Either way it's worth picking up if you're remotely interested in court scenes and controversial topics!
